-The crown and cross represent the Spirit of Clan, the guiding force of the Celtic culture. This also shows the protective efforts of the -ancestor's spirits.
-The flora design denotes awe and respect for the forces of nature.
-The Celtic Family Circle - The top two rings represent parenthood and the equal status of husband and wife in the Celtic culture. The lower ring shows the natural dominion of parents over children and their obligation of protection and care.
-The connective design denotes the bonds of the family.
-The Irish Hounds at the base represent the dominion of man over the beasts and their responsibility to be worthy guardians.

☙ More about Celtic Knots ❧
Celtic knots are a type of design that is found in Celtic art. They are also known as Irish knots or Scottish knots. Celtic knots are usually made up of interlocking lines, and they often have no beginning or end. Celtic knots can be used as a symbol of protection, as they are believed to ward off evil spirits. Celtic knots are also seen as a symbol of eternity, as they represent the never-ending cycle of life. In some cases, Celtic knots may also be seen as a blessing, as they are thought to bring good luck to those who wear them.
☙ What is Cast Paper? ❧
Cast Paper is handmade paper that is molded to create dimension. The process I use is self-developed and unique.
■ Step 1 - I carve an original out of wax. This can take a very long time depending on the size of the piece.
■ Step 2 - I make a rubber mold from the original carving. Multiple castings can be made from a mold.
■ Step 3 - We take 100% cotton fiber and grind it with water to a workable pulp. This pulp is worked and pressed into the mold.
■ Step 4 - The casting is dried, trimmed, and checked for imperfections. Not all casting make it past this step.
■ Step 5 - The dried castings are hand-painted with high-quality acrylic pigments. This is where I spend most of my time.
■ Step 6 - Each casting is beautifully mounted for display.
☙ What are my matting and framing options? ❧
● Mat Options. This work of art is mounted for display on acid-free mat board with a top mat and a liner mat. A hidden foam spacer is between the mats and back to create depth for the artwork. The color options are listed top to bottom. For example, Black-Gold-Maroon would be a black top mat, a gold liner mat, and the bottom mat maroon. Regardless of frame choice, you will receive mats.
● No Frame Option. You may choose to receive this work without a frame. You will still get the mats and it will be ready to frame but can not be hung until it is framed. You will need a canvas depth frame to frame this on your own. Framing can be costly and difficult for thicker items like this. I only recommend this option if you are familiar with what framing entails.
● Framed Option. You may choose to have your item framed. We frame in high-quality black anodized aluminum frames with glass. This no-hassle option is ready to hang. I strongly recommend this option for items that are intended as gifts.
