Celtic Family Circle - Mini
Celtic Family Circle
The Celtic Family Circle Story
The family was the central organizing and political force in the Celtic culture. The Equal status of men and women , each with their own domain, was central. Age was respected and the views of the elders were given the most weight. Children were cherished but expected to yield to the rules of the clan. In the sometimes harsh environment, every family member fulfilled their role for the good of the family. The top two rings show the equal status of the husband and the wife. The lower ring represents the natural dominion of parents over children and their obligation of protection. The outside ring and the internal knots denote family bonds.
The frame dimensions are 10" x 10" and 3/4 " deep.
